As a nursing assistant at Caron Group you will be responsible for providing a high standard of care and support to the residents who live at our homes, which will be delivered in a person-centred manner, consistent with the individuals’ care plans. You will support our qualified nurses in recognising, treating and maintaining the physical, emotional and mental health of all of our residents. You will also be responsible for liaising with healthcare professionals regarding the continuing care and treatment of residents. You will support each of the individuals in your care; encouraging well-being, happiness and belonging, whilst promoting independence, dignity and choice.

As a unit lead you will be responsible for running a high dependency unit within one of our Caron Group care homes. You will actively participate in meeting the personal needs and achieving positive wellbeing outcomes for our residents; promoting independence and respecting the dignity of all individuals who live in our homes.
Our unit leads are at the forefront of initiating and supporting the care of our physical environment and the general day to day activities of the unit. You will be required to manage a team of nurse assistants and care practitioners and therefore will have previous experience of leading a team.

As a wellbeing lead at Caron Group, you will be involved with the planning, organisation and implementation of meaningful activities for the residents who live in your care home.
You will be a caring and compassionate individual, with infectious enthusiasm and energy; providing opportunities for all of our residents to participate in and enjoy the available activities programme.
You will provide support to the care staff to ensure that they know about and are engaged in the activities programme as well as helping the manager to organise fundraising events for the home.
Our wellbeing leads take the time to get to know all of our residents and ensure that the programme of activities provides something for everyone. Sometimes you will be working on specific activities tailored to a resident’s favourite hobby. Other times you’ll be organising an inclusive group activity which includes the whole care home team. Whatever you’re planning, you’ll do so with the enjoyment and wellbeing of our residents at its heart.

As a Caron Group hospitality team lead you will be responsible for supervising domestic, laundry and kitchen staff in carrying out their daily duties. You will also be required to cover members of the hospitality staff when absent and ensure the continuous maintenance of our exemplary standards.

Our chefs and catering support staff play a pivotal role in all of our homes and make a valuable difference in the lives of our residents and their families.
As a chef or a member of our catering support staff, you will assist all of our residents through the creation of healthy, nutritious menu options, which can make a valuable difference to both physical and mental health. You will enjoy getting to know our residents’ personalities well; finding out about their preferences, likes and dislikes, as well as their favourite meal options and eating habits.

As part of our Caron Group business support team, you will assist the registered manager in the running of our homes.
Your duties will include administration, processing payroll and dealing with finances for the residents at the home, such as care fees and personal spending money.
You will be the first point of contact at the home for visitors and relatives, providing a friendly and positive welcome.

As a business support team member, you will develop a good overall understanding of Caron Group. You may wish to progress into a deputy manager role or perhaps consider a move into a group wide position.
Training we offer
Caron Group has a large internal Property Development and Estate Support Department, consisting of; managers, administrators, site foremen, skilled tradesmen and maintenance operatives. The role of the Property Development Department is to provide construction and maintenance services for our care homes, meeting with our consistently high standards. This will include new development, refurbishment, decoration and general property repairs. Continuous improvement and maintenance of our facilities requires ongoing refurbishment and new development programmes within the group, completed by our team of skilled building tradesmen including carpenters, plasterers, decorators and plumbers.

From a role within property development and estate support, you could consider progression into a site supervisor, or management role. We offer a number of apprenticeships, all of which are designed to furnish you with the skillset you need to take on responsibilities that will make a real difference to Caron Group.
Home Manager
As a Caron Group home manager, you will be responsible and accountable for planning, organising, directing and controlling the administrative, social and wellbeing, elements of the care service for residents. In addition, you will manage the service levels within your home to ensure that the highest standards of care, service and compliance are achieved.
Within your role as care home manager you will ensure that the highest level of exemplary care is given to the residents who live at our homes. With the help of your staff team, you will ensure that the wellbeing, safety and quality of life of the residents is your main priority. We want our care home managers to set the standard when it comes to person-centred care and lead the way in respecting and supporting each of the individuals in your home; encouraging wellbeing, happiness and belonging, whilst promoting independence, dignity and choice.
Deputy Manager
As a Caron Group deputy manager, you will support the manager in ensuring that all the above is completed to the highest standard. You will also take responsibility for the home in the absence of the manager.
Lead Clinician
As a lead clinician you will have the same responsibilities as a deputy manager but also you will be responsible for the clinical practices within the home; ensuring the highest standards are being met at all times.
