Sunshine, Smiles & Ice Cream at Anwen Care Home!

Following their well-deserved win as Moment of the Month champions for May, the Residential Floor Team at Anwen Care Home celebrated in the sweetest way possible, with a visit from an ice cream van!

It was a fantastic afternoon enjoyed by everyone, from our amazing staff to residents, families and visitors. Smiles, laughter and plenty of tasty treats made it a truly special occasion for all involved, the perfect way to mark such a well-earned recognition.

The team’s winning nomination, submitted by a family member, celebrated the outstanding care and support shown during a resident’s difficult transition into care, including a beautifully organised birthday celebration that left the family feeling their loved one was “truly loved rather than just cared for.” It’s exactly this kind of compassion and connection that Anwen is known for, and the ice cream day was a joyful way to say thank you to the whole team.

Moments like these highlight the joy, connection and community spirit that make Anwen so special. Well done to the whole team!
