Care Forum Wales Nurse of the Year, invited to Windsor Castle as The King and Queen Celebrate the Nation’s Carers

Our wonderful colleague Shiny recently enjoyed a truly memorable honour as she attended a special reception at Windsor Castle, hosted by His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen. The event was held to celebrate and highlight the remarkable contributions of paid and unpaid carers throughout the United Kingdom.

Their Majesties, joined by The Duchess of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, welcomed guests who represent the vital and challenging work undertaken by millions of carers from professional care staff to young people with caring responsibilities. The Prime Minister and Lady Starmer were also in attendance, recognising the essential role carers play in communities across the nation.

Shiny was invited to this prestigious event after being named the Care Forum Wales Independent Nurse of the Year, an incredible achievement that reflects her exceptional dedication, skill, and compassion. We could not be prouder to see her recognised on such an esteemed national stage.
