May Moment of the Month Winner – The Residential Team at Anwen Care Home

Moment of the Month is our group wide recognition scheme, designed to shine a light on the meaningful moments that truly reflect our values.

We are proud to announce the winner of our Moment of the Month award for May 2026, celebrating exceptional compassion, teamwork and dedication across our homes.

This month’s shortlist showcased inspiring examples of teams going above and beyond.

🏆 Winner: Anwen Care Home – Residential Floor Team

The winning nomination, submitted by a family member, had a particularly powerful emotional impact. It highlighted not only the outstanding care provided to a resident, but the meaningful support given to their family during a difficult transition into care.

The nomination described a beautifully organised birthday celebration, where the team created a joyful and inclusive experience for both the resident and their loved ones. This moment exemplified their commitment to ensuring residents continue to feel valued, celebrated and connected.

What stood out most was the feeling conveyed by the family that their loved one is “truly loved rather than just cared for.” This reflects a deeply compassionate, family-oriented culture where relatives feel welcomed, reassured and part of the home.

Tara Jones & Carl Lodwick – Parc Wern Care Home

Tara and Carl were celebrated for their creativity and teamwork, delivering a spontaneous and uplifting music and dance session that brought joy to all residents.

These nominations highlight the incredible difference our teams make every day, not only to residents, but to the families who trust us with their care.
